Notorious was started by Phil & Amy Jaspers in 2011. Prior to that they had individually been involved in the breed for over 20 years; Phil in Holland and Amy in the United States. Phil got his first Bull Terrier as a child in 1988 but it wasn't until 2001 when he bought his first show dog (Yoeckydoe's Annabelle, "Isa") that he was completely hooked! Phil bred Isa just once, and named his kennel "Bigshot" after an impressive American dog he had seen. He kept a big strapping bitch, Bigshot Leading Lady ("Yuki") from that first litter, and with Phil's smart choice of stud dogs Yuki not only won the Dutch Brood Bitch Trophy in 2010 and 2011, but also helped to lay the successful foundation of his breeding program.

Some of the most notable dogs he produced before moving to the States include: Dutch Ch. Bigshot Candy Cane, Dutch/Am Grand Ch. Bigshot Eye Candy, ROM, Bigshot Cracker Barrel (Dutch Stud Dog Trophy 2012 & 2013), and Am Ch. Bigshot Buckle Up For Action.
In 2015 Phil was awarded his AKC judge's license for Standard and Miniature Bull Terriers.

Amy got her first Bull Terrier in 1991 as a graduation present from college. Piggy's Diamond In The Rough ("Samson") was a beautiful example of the breed, but neither a show dog nor a stud dog. However, Samson was the one 'who started it all'! In 2000 she bred her first litter and started Skyline Bull Terriers. Over the past 14 years she has been fortunate enough to breed and/or own over 35 champions, 15 ROM champions, 12 Silverwood Finalists (including three Reserve Colored Dogs) and a Brood Bitch Emeritus. She also won the Breeder's Class at the 2011 National, and is breeder/owner of the second only American-bred English champion/first American-bred Monkery Stud Dog Trophy Winner in history!

Phil and Amy met in 2004 at Silverwood (of course) but it wasn't until January of 2011 that they realized how much they had in common beyond their shared loved of the dogs. In May of 2011 they got married, and together they combined the best of both their breeding programs to create Notorious. Together they breed, own, show and share their home and lives with their Bullies; it is not just their hobby but their passion.
